Exciting part has ended. Now what?

EGYPT sights I will never forget

Thinking about the brave Egyptians, I am filled with admiration. They managed to pull off a tremendous political change without violence and disaster. Having said that, I now worry about the ability of the miltary to loosen their grip on power to work towards a true democracy. Regarding the Egyptian women, I must say that they have always impressed me. Despite the fact that Egyptian men are dominant in too many ways, most Egyptian women I have known are smart, educated, and have a determination, layered by patience, that has made them a force to be reckoned with, albeit a quiet behind the scenes force. The skills of all Egyptians will be needed in this new age. I encourage the Egyptian people to insist that their government to do what the Iraqi government did: set aside 25% of the political slots for females only. It’s the only way to overcome the mentality to overlook women when it comes to political and government positions. For sure, Egypt will be a much greater country if the skills of their women are put to good use. Here’s to the Egyptian woman!!!!!

I'm a woman with a keen interest in a wide range of topics including women's issues; animal rights issues; humanitarian issues and political movements, such as the events currently sweeping the Middle East. I am an avid reader and collector of books, mainly about travelers of the 18th and 19th centuries. I have enormous curiosity about other people and relish hearing about lives and opinions of people from all over the world. I’m the author of the PRINCESS series, GROWING UP BIN LADEN, MAYADA DAUGHTER OF IRAQ, FOR THE LOVE OF A SON, and more. Over the past two years the princess and I have met and worked together to bring out a 4th and a 5th book in the PRINCESS SERIES. The 4th is titled: PRINCESS, MORE TEARS TO CRY while the 5th, which was recently released, is titled: PRINCESS, SECRETS TO SHARE. I am currently working on my 14th book. Details to be released soon.
