Dear All, I have a friend who is Palestinian although he has lived in Saudi Arabia for his entire life. (As have his two siblings.) They could only go to school up to a certain grade in Saudi and then Saudi Arabia no longer allows it. So, they had to leave Saudi Arabia during the school term and go to school in Gaza, Palestine. They did receive their education, so they can work. Unfortunately, the last time they were in Gaza, there was an outbreaks of violence between Israel and Palestine and they got stuck. During this time, their visas ran out for Saudi Arabia. They managed to get back into Saudi Arabia, but after returning, the Saudi authorities said because they had gotten delayed during the time they needed to renew their visas, that they had to leave Saudi Arabia permanently. Unfortunately, their parents are living in SA and that is where they have their home and their work. Also, the royals that I know don’t seem inclined to help this particular family. I’m told that there are many Palestinians living in Saudi Arabia with such problems and they cannot get started helping or it would end being thousands of people… It’s very upsetting to me personally that no one seems to care. Now these three young people are going to be deported to Gaza and the fact of the matter they don’t know anyone there, have nowhere to live, and will be in a huge crisis. They are desperately looking for someone to sponsor them to go and live and work in a European country, OR in the USA. I am working on trying to get them an attorney for the USA, but it is doubtful it will work because this country requires the situation to be LIFE OR DEATH when they give out resident’s visas, etc.
If anyone can think of a good solution to help these three young people, children of a Palestinian mother and father who are living in Saudi Arabia, let me know! Any ideas are appreciated! THANK YOU! Jean
